Stuff for sale |
As the title suggests, this page lists various items for sale - mostly baby/toddler gear, but also some ladies' clothes, plus
other random items at the end.
I've found web links for some things, and can take photos if you want to see the actual item - just let me know.
I've thrown it together as quickly as possible for now so if you want more info on anything please just ask, and
if you're interested in something, please make me an offer.

General pregnancy / new baby stuff
- "Prepare for a caesarean" CD from Natal Hypnotherapy - wonderful relaxation
/ hypnosis stuff to help keep you calm in the run-up to the section.
Helped me enormously! Currently available online for £11.99
- Postnatal yoga video - gentle exercises to do with your baby, after the
postnatal check (usually about 6 weeks). I went to the classes and they were just brilliant.
Sells online at £16 but I only paid £12 for mine at the class.
- Mamas & Papas travel cot - only used occasionally - takes standard cot size bedding, so will suit a bigger baby, rather than some which are
smaller - we have tall children so those were never much use for us! It's the standard type which folds up, with the mattress wrapping around
it before putting it all in the carry case, and has wheels. Burgundy colour.

Car seats & buggy
- Two Britax Cosy Tot Premium car seats, newborn to 13kg, like
this one
on Amazon for £99.99, but ours are different fabrics - one is chocolate coloured velour and one is beige check.
The former is Isofix (although you would need to get the base separately - we only ever used
seatbelts), and the latter is seatbelt only. The isofix one has instructions but
I seem to have lost them for the other one. (never involved in any form of road accident)
- Mamas & Papas Protec group 1 car seat (9-18kg) with instructions. (never involved in any form of road accident) - ours is an older version
of this one, in black/grey, and I can't imagine
we paid anything like £185 for it!
- Maclaren Triumph fold-up buggy with hinge covers (to stop fingers from getting caught) and fitting instructions for the hinges.
Ours is red and blue, well loved, but otherwise very similar to this one retailing
for over £100 at John Lewis (I'm sure we paid more like £79!). It has a mesh bag attached to the back which is useful for extra storage space,
and a rain cover.

Nappy changing & potty/toilet training
- Winnie-the-Pooh wipe-clean change mat with a little towelling mat that attaches with velcro so the baby's bum doesn't get cold.
Bit tatty now but perfectly useable. Pale yellow background colour.
- Two folding wipe-clean change mats for travelling - blue/white check pattern.
- Purple gingham patterned wipe clean change mat.
- Huggies swim pants 14+kg (open pack, contains 8 whereas a full pack is 10)
- Potty Time Training Pack (Hardback book including reward chart with re-usable magnetic "stickers") - it's
£9.99 on Amazon but we used the progress chart
so that's not included :)
- 4 potties (yellow, 2xpurple, blue/green)
- Huggies pullups night time potty training pants for boys 12-18kg: 3 unopened packs & 11 loose (full pack is 12) - these have pictures
on which fade when the child does a wee in the nappy.
- Elizabeth Pantley - "The No-Cry Potty Training Solution" (paperback)
- 2 padded fold-up toilet seats with carry bags. Great for when you're out and about, or at friends' houses, to make the toilet seat the
right size for a small person. Surprisingly easy to clean, too - much more so than the plastic alternatives we tried, and far more
comfortable too!

Bottle feeding accessories
- Tommee Tippee steriliser - no instructions but we used the cold water method and it worked fine.
- 4 dishwasher baskets (to stop small items such as teats and caps from moving around in the dishwasher,
and to keep them the right way up so they get clean!)
- Microwave steriliser bags - great for a one-off at someone else's house when you've stayed longer than expected,
as you just put the bottle & bits in the bag with
some water and chuck in the microwave. Can be re-used several times each. I always carried one of these & a carton of formula!
- One single, and two double, Avent bottle bags with instructions.
- 7 big Avent bottles and 5 small ones, plus 16 sets of handles, 11 white lids, 12 dome caps, and 1 sealing disc.
- 13 white muslin squares.
|
Older feeding stuff (i.e. when they're on solids)
- 20 Tommee tippee tie-on bibs with plastic backing and various animal designs.
- Flexible ice cube tray - great for freezing cubes of puree when you're weaning - unused in its unopened packet.
- 2 weaning spoons.
- Fisher Price booster seat with instructions. Retails at £29.99 at
ToysRUs
and we found it completely brilliant. Small & light enough to take to people's houses, sturdy, secure, easy to clean, adjustable (particularly
useful if you want baby to sit at the main table as you can get it the right height). We used it with disposable change mats underneath to protect
fabric dining chairs, and it was loads easier than trying to fit a highchair into other people's houses or rely on pubs to have clean ones, etc.

Children's books
- Board books:
- This little baby
- That's not my santa
- Usborne look and say: first 123
- Baby's first animal songs (needs new batteries if you want it to play the songs)
- My First Signs / My First Animal Signs - these are both aimed at parents who want to use baby signing to aid early communication -
I found it incredibly useful with both of my kids, particularly my younger one as it took us a lot longer to understand what he was
saying, so the signs avoided a huge amount of frustration for all of us! We went to
Sing and Sign classes and I can't recommend them highly enough. These books were really useful
backup for grandparents, childminders, nursery etc.
- Hallowe'en Acorn - Eileen Colwell (hardback, tatty dustjacket but the book is ok)
- The Large Family - Five Minutes' Peace (hardback)
- Know the Game - Rounders (very old fashioned paperback!)
- Trees - aimed at teachers to plan lessons etc. (paperback)
- One Ted Falls Out Of Bed - Julia Donaldson and Anna Currey
- Cloth book - roly poly little panda

Children's books in French
- About 20 copies of Abricot, with dates ranging from 2005 to 2009. This is a magazine/book for children aged 3-5, to which we had a
gift subscription for some time.
- 8 copies of Histoires pour les petits, with dates in 2009-10. Similar to the above, for children aged 3+. This one has longer stories within
the magazine-style format.
- Monsieur Glouton - French version of Mr Greedy!
- Activity books: 5-6 ans activites & jeux; 5-6 ans je veux apprendre les mathematiques
- Ou est Babouche? This is a Dora lift-the-flap book, very well loved so most of the flaps have been sellotaped back on, but they're all there!
- Board books: L'alphabet; Les habits
- Educational books: Fais-moi lire; La cle des mots; Je compte sur mes dix doigts; Premier grand dictionnaire (hardback)
- Story books: L'affaire du poussin disparu; Yann est bien ennuye; Jamais tranquille; Un chat et une souris

Other baby/toddler stuff
- Waterproof sandals (great for beach / swimming pool) in size 8 (Thomas the tank engine) and 9 (grey/red).
- 3 sets of reins, one with instructions. 2 of them have clip attachments so you can also use them as a harness e.g. in a high chair or pram.
Also one more set which is only for use as a harness, as it doesn't have the long strap to make it into reins.
- Winnie-The-Pooh backpack and harness - works like reins but goes over the child's head before you do up the clip, and they get a little backpack.
Amazon is out of stock at the moment but was asking
£12.99 when I looked before.
My son grew out of this before he was really ready to give up reins, but then he is enormous!
- Thomas the tank engine slippers, size 9.
- Clippasafe wrist link with instructions (next step up after reins: velcro strap around your wrist at one end and your toddler's at the other).
- Clippasafe toy ties - 2-pack unopened, and 5 loose ones - these are great for attaching toys/drinks etc to the pushchair so that they don't get lost!
- 4 bag clips for buggies / prams (with the usual caveat about making sure it doesn't tip over...)
- Safety First slip resistant bath mats (little mini ones, animal shaped - unopened).
- 8 soother savers (straps to clip a dummy to clothing so they stay clean when they fall out!) & 11 dummy covers (to keep the spares clean
in your bag, especially when you've sterilised them for tiny tots)
- Blue junior swim goggles, racing style (stopped fitting my son aged 3-4 but he has a big head!)

Ladies' Clothes
- M&S wide brim sun hat - looks a bit like straw but is actually paper & polyester, so you can roll it up in a bag and it keeps its shape -
allegedly one size but too small for my big head!
- M&S Indigo collection blue plimsolls - white edging at the base & red trim - size 6. Only worn a couple of times before I realised they
really don't fit me!
- Bill Baber handmade top - hand wash or dry clean - no size on the label, but it fits me well (and I'm usually a 12 ish in tops),
it's just too short - I am very long in the body! It looks a lot like
this one but the colours on mine are black / dark brown / light
brown going top to bottom.
- La Senza pyjama shorts, white with big pink/purple/black spots, size 12 (never worn)
- John Rocha cream t-shirt-style top with frill & flower detail around the neck, size 12
- Fat Face knee length panelled flared skirt, black base with flower design in orange/green/brown/blue, size 14
- TU grey pinstripe work trousers, size 14 long
- M&S yellow cotton summer vest top with buttons & smocking detail on front, size 14
- Jasper Conran knee length denim panelled flared skirt, size 14 (love this skirt, gutted that it no longer fits me!)
- M&S powder blue polo neck knitted jumper, size 14
- Mk One Magenta polo neck lightweight knitted top/jumper, size 14
- John Rocha black skirt with bold flower design stitched on the front in white thread / ribbon, size 16
- East wide leg linen trousers, no idea how to describe the pattern, but the thread is black one way and white the other, so they look grey, size 16
- Fat Face dark purple linen knee length shorts, size 16
- Fat Face blue shorts / crop trousers (they are below the knee), combat style, with poppers to adjust the fit around the waist
(why don't more people do that??), size 16
- M&S blue denim shorts, size 16
- M&S beige (or "alabaster" according to the label) lovely warm knitted jumper, high neck but not polo neck (showing my ignorance of the terminology!), size 16-18

Miscellaneous items (not related to babies or toddlers!)
- One pair of SofSole Airr running insoles, UK size 7-8, only worn once in an abortive attempt to make my emergency running shoes fit properly
(having forgotten mine on holiday). There's more info
here which quotes $24.99 as the retail price.
- Micromark ceiling light fitting - chrome finish, 3x20W halogen bulbs and 4 spares, with instructions.
- Twinings "Winter Spice" tea (from USA) - camomile, apple, cinnamon, cardamom & clove - best before 28/07/2013
- Men Are From Mars / Women Are From Venus - board game.
- Helen Fielding - Cause Celeb (paperback & well loved!)
- Madeleine Wickham - The Tennis Party (ditto!)
- Car windscreen sunshade - fitted my VW Polo but too short top-to-bottom for my Seat Leon. Can measure if this is not enough info!
- Philips DTRSA 200/05 - no instructions - free to a good home, as it came with a TV from the newsgroup at work, but I have never used it.
Looks like it's been discontinued but there is some info on the
Philips web site.

- 2-pack Duracell Ultra M3 photo batteries: 123photo/DL123A/CR123A/EL123A - best before 2013.
